St. Oliver Plunkett Festival of Prayer

The St. Oliver Plunkett Festival of Prayer commences on Saturday, 25 May in St Peter’s Church, Drogheda at the 6.15pm Mass. A number of Relics of St. Oliver will be presented to the Knights of St. Columbanus, who will bring them to Churches, Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Mass Rocks and Prisons for veneration. Approximately 15,000 Prayer Cards to St. Oliver will be handed out over this period. In excess of ninety nine locations will be visited during the month. The Festival will end with a Triduum of Masses in Drogheda. The annual St Oliver’s Pilgrim Walk will start on Saturday 1 June from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, visiting seven churches along the route. This year we will also have a Novena to St Oliver in St Peter’s Church commencing on 29th June and finishing on 7th July.
